Otterbox Launches New Apple Watch Cases

Otterbox, a popular iPhone case manufacturer known for its highly protective cases, today launched the Exo Edge, a new series of cases designed for the Apple Watch.

Priced at $29.95, the cases are available both for the Series 3 and older ‌Apple Watch‌ models and the newer Series 4 and Series 5 models, which have a larger display.

The cases are designed to fit around the bezel of the ‌Apple Watch‌, adding a thick bumper that protects it from damage if the wrist is accidentally hit against something.

Each Exo Edge Case is designed to fit around the Digital Crown, and it covers the Side button on the ‌Apple Watch‌ for additional protection. Speakers on the alternate side are left open, and the back remains uncovered so the heart rate sensor continues to function.

You can use any ‌Apple Watch‌ band with the Otterbox ‌Apple Watch‌ cases, and the cases themselves are available in pink, black, white, and beige.

Exo Edge ‌Apple Watch‌ cases can be purchased from the Otterbox website for $29.95, but there is a 25 percent sale going on right now that drops the price to $22.46.

OtterBox Launches $130 ‘OtterSpot’ Stackable and Portable Wireless Charging System

OtterBox today announced a new expandable wireless charging system that it calls "OtterSpot," which includes one charging base that can power up multiple batteries and a smartphone simultaneously.

To start, the OtterSpot Charging Base is placed on a flat surface, and you can stack multiple OtterSpot Wireless Charging Batteries on top of it to charge them. On the very top, a compatible iPhone can be charged wirelessly.

The idea is that with multiple batteries charging at once, you can quickly pick one up and take it with you around your home or office to charge any Qi-enabled device wherever you want. OtterSpot Wireless Charging Batteries include a 5,000 mAh battery and up to 10-watt wireless charging speeds.

They also have a USB-C port so you can charge another device through a wired connection, a power button, and LED lights to indicate charge levels. OtterBox also confirmed that the charging system has been Qi certified.

You can purchase the OtterSpot Wireless Charging System for $129.95, including a charging base and one extra OtterSpot Wireless Battery. Additional batteries will cost $69.95 if you want to expand the system.

CES 2019: OtterBox Teams Up With PopSockets for New ‘Otter + Pop’ iPhone Cases

OtterBox today announced that it is partnering with PopSockets for a new series of "Otter + Pop" Symmetry cases for iPhone, which come equipped with a built-in "PopGrip" compatible with removable, swappable "PopTops" at the back of the case.

PopSockets have become extremely popular over the course of the last year, with the stick-on holders available in a range of colors and patterns. The new Otter + Pop cases will also be available in a range of colors for what OtterBox says is a variety of "swappable, unstoppable combinations" to fit "every look, style, scene, or vibe."

"OtterBox and PopSockets collaborating on an integrated case was a no-brainer," said Jim Parke, OtterBox CEO. "Our fans love variety, customization and sleek protection. With Otter + Pop, we can deliver that in one thin iPhone case that combines our legacy of protection with all of the unique attributes that PopSockets delivers."
Otter + Pop cases combine OtterBox's protective Symmetry cases with a PopGrip with the aim of making the iPhone easier to hold with one hand than ever before. When not in use, the integrated PopGrip lays flush with the case, so it's not in the way.

Otter + Pop will be coming soon to the OtterBox and PopSocket websites, with the cases to be priced starting at $59.95. Additional PopTops will be available for $8 each.
