Safari Technology Preview release 107 includes bug fixes and performance improvements for Web Inspector, Web API, CSS, Rendering, Scrolling, Media, IndexedDB, JavaScript, Web Animations, Async Clipboard API, Accessibility, and CSS Grid.

The new Safari Technology Preview update is available for both macOS Mojave and macOS Catalina, the newest version of the Mac operating system that was released in October 2019.

Apple today released tvOS 13.4.5, the fourth major update to the tvOS operating system that runs on the fourth and fifth-generation Apple TV models. tvOS 13.4.5 comes two months after the launch of tvOS 13.4.

Apple today seeded the fifth beta of an upcoming watchOS 6.2.5 update to developers, one week after releasing the fourth beta and over a month after releasing the watchOS 6.2 update that added in-app purchases to the Apple Watch App Store.


watchOS 6.2.5 can be downloaded for free through the dedicated ‌‌‌Apple Watch‌‌‌ app on the iPhone by going to General > Software Update. To install the new software, the ‌‌‌Apple Watch‌‌‌ needs to have at least 50 percent battery, it needs to be placed on a charger, and it needs to be in range of the ‌‌‌iPhone‌‌‌.

watchOS 6.2.5 brings ECG functionality and irregular heart rhythm notifications to Saudi Arabia. Nothing else new was discovered in the first four betas, suggesting that other than the new ECG feature, watchOS 6.2.5 focuses on under-the-hood improvements.

Apple Policy Exec Cynthia Hogan Departs Company

Apple's vice president for public policy and government affairs, Cynthia Hogan, has resigned from the company, reports Axios. Hogan will be leaving Apple next month after recently being selected as one of the members of Joe Biden's vice presidential selection committee.

Hogan joined Apple back in April 2016 to head its Washington D.C. office under Apple's environmental, policy, and social initiatives chief Lisa Jackson.

Prior to joining Apple, Hogan was a top lobbyist for the National Football League, and before that, she served as Joe Biden's counsel when he was Vice President of the United States under President Barack Obama.

Hogan was seen as a key hire for Apple in its ongoing debate with the U.S. government over encryption and national security.
